There were rumors of an empire event too and many people farmed empire characters in anticipation for it. Well guess what happened when the event was finally introduced? Yeah, they got shafted for trying to stay ahead of the curve. I for one am not going to take a gamble like that farming borderline useless characters based on a rumor.
