Our guild hasn't kicked or lost players that haven't wanted to take a break from the game. We are a competitive guild with HAAT on farm. Worked up to it together as a challenge and didn't rely on hired guns.
Guilds were meant to a about people working together for the challenge and a common goal, not a coat tailing free GK shards for 600 a day system.
TB for all its flaws just reiterates this. It's a new challenge that strong guilds will rise to together, we are already strategising about how to get more stars. I think it's a good thing.
