Why is it that every time CG makes an update to this game everyone and their moms start complaining about how the game is going to die and its over for FTP players. Your getting the same or better rewards from Galactic challenges except now you have to buy them out of the shop. All they really did was add more rewards for people who spend on characters. Doesn't really seem like that big of a deal to me.
interesting point of view. You're right about one thing: Many of the game changes/updates have been received poorly. Yet they have, for the most part, persisted. This one, though, I am more doubtful over. Perhaps my math is wrong, perhaps my logic is flawed. All I can say, is that personally, I have a bad feeling about this.
My general view on the update is that it’s the same, or slightly better rewards, at a MUCH HARDER grind and really mostly appeals to PTP players, which will eventually kill off FTPs, such as myself (yes I may have bought an LSB or two shame me 😂😂)
Part of the problem is that this is the first major update in a long time and it's mainly focused on getting players to spend more money. Especially around a time where there has been a significant increase in major bugs and the debacle with leviathan. Players are getting fed up.
I would prefer CG to focus their time and resources on fixing bugs, improving user experience and pushing out content, instead of focusing on min/maxing their pricing strategy.
That's your opinion. My opinion is that so far, it's a net loss for me. Buying rewards is not the same as receiving them for doing well in galactic challenge.
Also now everything is behind a paywall. Like seeing the character quest rewards. Why would I want to see the rewards I've earned but can't receive without spending money. They're mocking us and smearour faces in it.
For me I hate the changes to GC and the daily quest rewards because they remove the squad arena chips reward for dailies and they removed the crate leveling reward for the galactic challenge making the rewards now episode pass rewards. They are trying to make everything around the pass which is terrible.
You should never take away what was freely given and then put it behind a paywall, no matter how that is bought whether real money or earned. It’s a net loss for everyone in my guild an we all agree, i can see at least 50% leaving shortly..
please revert these money schemes while we still have active players. Latest changes make no sense for FTP players or casual spenders. Even at Galactic Challenges, you were able to get decent rewards if you have 1 GL that can clear everything. Now, you get almost nothing without paying for pass & latest heroes
i’m in total agreement here. For years, everyone openly stated all they really cared about was the omnis from the crates. The community also has been screaming for less screen time. The community also, and i believe rightly, has consistently complained about the terrible price points as being a reason people are unwilling to spend.
cg appears to listen by allowing ftp players still get their 16 omnis every four weeks and yes their math adds ups. They also lessen the time it takes to complete your dailies and cut feats from 4 to 2 within GCs that ftp need to do at t10.
if you’re inclined to spend a little but haven’t because of what the ROI is for your dollar, cg just introduced the best way to spend 20 dollars each month. it obliterates the conquest pass.
but everyone is screaming how this kills ftp who lose nothing of real value. light spenders scream they’re cutting back because reasons.
There are certainly things that could be better like not updating quests you can’t claim yet or ever however, the sky isn’t falling. this game runs on micro transactions and stays open because of it. no im not a shill for cg, they usually do things poorly but my god is the reaction over the top
The episode pass is crazy good - we should be cheering about this but people are getting all in their feelings before they've even seen this thing play out. And all the math is pointing to a huge win for F2P but all they want to talk about is "the paywall" and they're actually MAD that they have to do LESS in the GCs!

My opinion is 1) happiness is expectations delivered, and 2) people care a lot about this game. My expectations are much higher than CG seems to be able to deliver. For example, the P1 failure was epic and continues to this day. Having an comprehensive anniversary update should be the most amazing in the game's history. Unfortunately, it didn't come close to improving quality of life or making the game more fun, or anything else that the players expected. That means it is too bad for me. But before I give up and leave for the third time, I'd like to at least clarify my expectations back to CG.
Part of the problem. Only thinking about yourself because you like to spend money. I do also but it's not fair leaving the less spenders or f2p players in the dark. Without them as players we are just slowly killing the game. We need them as much as they need us spenders
