What really IS the point of LoVer in this game?
Just because he’s the most expensive doesn’t define that he needs to be the best. The easier it is now to take a character to G12 because of the economy changes to gear will result in higher relic levels required for events such as future GL’s. Say goodbye to R3’s and more likely R5’s next and hello to more R7’s & R8’s in the future, potentially even R9’s aswell. The expenses of these characters shouldn’t define what GL is best.
That would be a fine argument if they weren't throwing around "protecting players' investment" whenever they decide to ruin a counter. The simple fact is that LV needs the biggest investment. If their argument is more than just excuse, his power should match it.
LV is an investment, and it is protected by CG to avoid it being easily killed by various non-GL teams. That's the protection. The protection doesn't include making it the strongest GL ever.
Wether that's enough benefit for you to farm it, it's up to you.
LV is like buying a super expensive Ferrari. Does it have its moments? Of course. Its obviously a great char, high quality.
But is it the best? No, definitely not for me. It's annoyingly loud, preventing talk inside, there's no room for any baggage, its very costy to fuel it/repair it, it hits every bump due to being so low.. Its kinda **** if you're looking at the whole picture.
But you have the option to buy it or not. If that's not what you want, don't whine about it, simply don't buy it.
Couldn’t have worded this any better. People will whine because that’s what they do, you will never benefit the whole consumer base. A lot of people are still happy with lord vader, yes he aint the best but he’s nowhere near the worst. To be honest I can’t believe threads like this still exist, LV came out a few months ago and it’s like people are blindsided that he aint the best GL ever lol.
