Thrawn's Leader cleanse ability rework!

Legendary Strategist

Empire allies have +15% Max Protection, +25% Offense, and gain 20% Turn Meter whenever they Resist a detrimental effect or suffer a debuff. Whenever an Empire ally gains or loses a status effect, they recover 2% Protection. Thrawn gains a new Special ability, Maneuver: Dispel all debuffs on all allies and grant them their opposite buffs, if any, for 2 turns (Cooldown 4).

Now only Thrawn gains Maneuver, but he can cleanse all allies instead of every single one having to individually cleanse himself. And the cooldown is increased from 3 to 4 turns.
  • Thrawn is already one of the best toons in the game. He doesn't need a rework.
  • Thrawn is the best unit in the game. He does not need buffed. Nor does his lead, which is arguably the second best in the Empire faction, after Palpatine, which is one of the best in the game. The only reason Thrawn's lead doesn't see much use is because the AI isn't good at determining when it should use Maneuver.

    Whoa, chill people! I'm only changing Maneuver, not his entire Lead! I feel every ally having to individually cleanse themselves and spend half a turn in doing so is not very practical and as effective as Thrawn spending a turn and cleansing them all instead. After all he is the only cleanser the Empire faction has and should be really effective at it.

  • Maneuver does need changed. It’s a negative on defense and would be better if it didn’t exist. It’s frustraring that Thrawn lead is a perfect counter to debuff heavy teams, but it doesn’t work because the AI butchers that ability so bad.

    If Thrawn is to have a Leader cleanse then my aim is to make it more practical and effective!
  • Use it in the sith raid to reduce cooldowns and don't use him as leader elsewhere. Problem solved.

    Basically saying “don’t use him” is hardly problem solved. If I was to make a list of 50 things I want changed with the game this probably wouldn’t even be considered, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a problem that a zeta lead is nearly useless because the AI butchers it.
