Six pop-ups in a row. It’s too many. All this is doing is reinforcing that offers from CG will never have any value and should be promptly ignored.

I don’t own this thread. Feel free to post your own examples of pop-ups you’d like to see less of.

Pro tip: Be sure to upload as attachments, rather than embedded images. This ensures that every pixel is preserved so people can enjoy them as the makers intended. Sure, the files take longer to upload, and take up more space on CG’s servers, but you can’t argue with quality.

Also, CG wants us to be respectful of other users’ resources, particularly bandwidth (embedded images take up more bandwidth than attachments).

Time, on the other hand, seems OK to waste. Probably because these posts don’t really waste anybody’s time, if you think about it. People could just ignore this thread, or scroll past the posts really fast if they don’t want to see them. And who knows, maybe 0.000001% of SWGOH players might see an offer they missed and will give CG the money they desperately need. They’re down to their last $77M in revenue this year. They might not ever be able to afford a Quality Assurance Engineer.

But really, you're right. People saying it takes half a second. Having to do it every few seconds, dozens of times, more if you play a lot like I did before this?

Half a second times, let's say 60 even though I'm sure I have to see more ads than that. That's thirty seconds. A day. So every week that's three and a half minutes. Typing a little reply like this might take up a week worth of ads. I've been seeing these crappy things for years.

My brother talked me into playing again, I took a two month break, started up again yesterday, and I'm already done.

My brother doesn't get ads at all. He's put in a LOT of money. Me? I've only put in like $200. Guess it isn't enough. GDMFing paywall to play without ads. And thing is, the money I spent was BEFORE GOH's adpocalypse. If it weren't for them I probably would have spent more already.

Right. $200?, EA says being able to look into my account and see I've only spent $50? Yes. Yes. And I was planning on buying another hyperdrive bundle each and every time they're on sale. No. I'm not talking about future profits, I'm saying I spent $200 on the game so far.

Sure, some was on a lost account, but it still counts. Hyperdrive goes on sale a few times a year. EA only gains money on everything so it's profitable to keep me playing. More so to keep my brother playing which after I quit, so did he for a while. He's the whale. He's a whale. EA, Capital should want to keep him at least. I wonder how long he'll stay if I'm gone again?

These ads suck. Oh also I do have motor issues due to nerve damage from a TBI so it takes a little longer than half a second for me to close the ads. Also I have autism, am autistic, on the spectrum, have ASD, whatever you want to call it, and ads have a... obviously... reverse effect on me.

Should be able to opt out of these damned things without hitting the pay requirement.
