I would agree that not all shards are made equal.

However, as another f2p player that sits in the top 3 every day, I use Zader, EP, Boba, TFP, Shore. All G11. Late April 2016 shard.

One thing that is key is communication with your shard mates. Search for them and start a Discord channel (or other chat app) and coordinate payout times so that when somebody's payout is coming up, people don't snipe them (or more importantly you).
