Sid is good for newer players as he has heal immunity to prevent healing characters from healing the enemy team. Early in the game you also don't have access to high dps characters that outdamage healing characters, so sid is a godsend in that regard.
In the late game, sid has too little damage and hp in comparison to other characters. His skill kit isn't as good as others late-game and his chance of inflicting buff immunity is low because of low potency. potency determines the chance of inflicting a debuff on a character. Darth sidious's potency is zero even at maxed level and gear.
Yea on my level he just roflstomps everyone that's why I though he was good
