Tourney are good
Hello,
Many posted their dissatisfaction with Tourney and i will give you my point of view as an FTP from February.
1. It does not cost anything to enter the tourney and grab some free credit and gear.
2. Adjust your expectation: I know I can't be top 10 even though I rank first in arena everyday, but that is life and some players paid much more than I, so it fine. If CG decides to collect cash through tourney and AP, so be it! At least FTP have a shot at unlocking him.
3. It is the only time when you can use your whole roster. I sit on probably 5 arena worthy teams and I can't use them (modulo tank raid).
4. No refresh and 24h tourney are really valuable.
Some points of improvement:
a) Rewards should be scaled accordingly. The difference is like 200 shards between first and 11. This is too much on a server of 5K players.
b) There should be a script to check if players position is plausible: taking the number of AP spend and the quality of the roster, Devs should create a likelihood estimator to determine how likely a players has cheated (comparison to peer for example). Players should be compensated as well...
c) Fixed cost tourney and Tier: a solution to many problem is to create Tourney where the amount of AP is fixed for every players and they are allowed to only use this amount of AP. Moreover, it would allow to create different Tier of rewards (say 50k AP, top 10 gets 7*, 200k top 100).
