FYI. There are lots of ways to beat a droid team, and yours is not the highest percentage. I don't need Wiggs or Droids or Rex to beat droid teams. I can beat them 95% of the time with common toons. Using Han Solo to beat droids... gimmick. You already use 2 toons that crush any droid team on our server, and you probably have three suitable other toons on your bench to complete the droid killer squad. If you don't, many top arena players do... and more importantly, lots of 20-50 arena players have these toons... They don't have the tools to beat Rex and Wiggs, but they can sure beat the heck out of droids.
I use w/e means I have to climb. I wouldnt care too much to tailor a single team to beat everything.... i care to make a single team that can defend the best. On offense i use w/e squad i have found to win with the highest rate of success for that specific match. And the only time I care about a team that defends is when I retire for the day. Or if I have competition in my payout at sniping time.
As of now, no one else in my timezone can even climb to top ten, except me, lol. (Wes either has some other competition for his time, or it's too much trouble for him to even bother trying, lately.) And my climb, too, will eventually come to an end, unless I can get my new team up to speed in time. I suppose I could gamble on B2, putting all eggs into just being able to win on offense and hoping R2D2 will bring them back. But I don't like that gamble.
There is not enough time in an hour to win 4 or 5 battles that are 50:50 without spending as many crystals as you earn. And in a matter of weeks, 4 or 5 battles will be 5 or 6. And it will just get worse.
The best droid teams will survive. Insulated from the Wiggless, Rexless barbarians at the gate by other top players and by sheer mods. The rest will become casualties of meta shift. And our server has too many droid teams for them all to survive.
When it's feeding time, and there are 3 or 4 or even 5 battles against Wiggs and Rex when they breech the top 20, not all our droid teams will be able to make it more than once a blue moon. And we have lots more up and coming droid teams in our B league reaching max gear status.
