Unbalanced ship synergy

Can anyone even explain the new factions to me?
Separatist, Republic, Bounty hunter?

How do they make sense since many of these factions overlap? Its going to end up making a total mess of things and just allow any team to have any character (for example, Sith/Separatist, Separatist/droids, Republic/Jedis, Bounty hunters/separatists, etc etc etc).

well no one wants a new Chewie.
Just improve the one we have and give him Rebel and Resistance tags. He's gone through all eras.

Altenatively they could add a Lucrehulk Battleship (Droid Control Ship) and have Nute as a Pilot for the Sepratists capital ship

Sweet we got a 2nd empire ship, but oh wait only half a percent of players will be able to earn enough shards to activate it.
