With our next update towards the end of the month we will be introducing a "brother" event to Credit Heist focused on acquiring Training Droids. The Event will be called "Training Droid Smuggling" and like the Heist will require a team of scoundrels. Droid Smuggling will have a similar but not identical schedule to Credit Heist (15 hours timer, appears randomly). The update after that, I will be removing the droid event that costs energy (since it is used in the tutorial, it's not super simple to just "turn it off"). This event will have tiers at 30, 50, 70, & 80 with rewards as follows: T1 (30): 10-22 training droids, 1 mk1 ability material T2 (50): 10-22 training droids (higher rarity then T1), chance at either mk 1 or mk 2 ability material T3 (70): 10-22 training droids (higher rarity then T2), chance at either mk 1, mk 2, or mk 3 ability material T4 (80): 10-22 training droids (higher rarity then T3), chance at either mk 1, mk 2, mk 3, or Omega ability materialMy question to all of you is: given the rewards listed, and the prerequisites (scoundrels) would you participate in this regularly?

Um yes Cap you have seen my threads, this is a step in the right direction. Curious as to why Scoundrels again, wouldn't it make sense to give it to another faction although i can see some of the community hating it. I think giving another faction a use to keep up would be good. Definitely this is a step in the right direction. Making omegas a certainty will definitely start to put weight behind having a scoundrel team to be able to complete the event. If it is ~6-10 days, and only obtainable at the highest tier, this is reasonable increase to omega farm rates.How many times would you be able to do each tier? Once? If so, omega needs to be a certainty, maybe you can randomize the quantity gained, 1-2 or 1-3?

Omegas will not be a guarantee from this event. It's still being decided if it will even offer them. This is NOT an ability material event, it's for training droids. Ability materials were added because I was concerned training droids by themselves weren't enticing to most people. Omega Battles are the event with a guarantee to earn those. The event uses Scoundrels to reward people's investment in them, so they're not "just" used in Credit Heist. With the advent of this event, Scoundrels will have a strong identity as the faction used to farm progression currencies.

RNG rewards are really annoying us especially if it will be omega mats...I think thats a bad way of looking at it man.. the scoundrel event rewards people that finish a scoundrel team. They also have a good use for a GW team and Raiding. I still think Jedi are a better choice Cap.

Yes.. it is a "Free event" people are already leveling Scoundrels for the credit heist so that is a Win\Win and puts no further burden on anybody.I won't complain about the randomness because "free event" :|

Training Droid Smuggling
This all new-event is replacing Training Droids Hunt . This event uses Scoundrels, and rewards training droids (way, WAY more than the old event) and ability materials (in low quantities) with a chance at an Omega for the level 80 version. There are 4 tiers: 30, 50, 70, & 80. The difficulty tuning is similar to Credit Heist, although the level 80 version is a little more difficult than the others

I very clearly stated the position on Omegas in this event. And while I value the feedback everyone provides, ultimately the decision lies with me and the team that owns the economy. Adding a guaranteed two Omega materials per week from a training droid event was not going to happen. I'm sorry if you feel disappointed, but that's just how it is. I encourage you to try the event for yourself tomorrow and see what value you feel it provides to you.

I definitely will be , i am always honest with my feedback i believe this is the only way to improve upon things. I still disagree with it and I'll try to convince you otherwise but until then.

I also hope the decision to give up B2 and Wedge so early was the right idea. Because as a heavy spender i feel really really ticked about it. Especially since Wedge has been broken until not long ago.

Yeah I'm also very happy for the change. I never even played the old droid event do to the energy cost. So a free event is a win for me.

Thanks capgasp.. We understand our role. U bounce ideas off of us as a way to get ideas, early feedback on decisions to be made. At times you will change things thanks to what we say, at other times you will do things inspite of what we say. We are glad to be part of the process. Especially since we dont get to peak behind the curtain and know about everything going on on the other side.

The drop rate on Ability mats must be terrible or my luck is worse. I got none from the level 80 version. LOL

That about sums up my luck in this game in general, though. RNG Gods are not kind to me.

I also got 2.5M credits per go on the Credit Heist. I have a feeling that's the minimum.

Difficulty : Both are very easy to just auto
Rewards : +1000 besides the rng on omega mats
Enemies : I like the set up

Notes : besides the omega rng these events are just top of the line good. I would also consider a serious look at the credit packs now.

How to improve them :
Have it so the lower tiers show three stars once you have done the higher tier versions of these because of how they work.

My scoundrels were improved GREATLY by the addition of IG-88 and ST Han (I'm not sure if my post in gen-pop helped influence that at all) to the mix.

My lineup is: 7* G11 80 ST Han, 7* G9 80 Lando, 6* G8 78 Dengar, 6* G8 72 Cad Bane, 7* G8 70 IG-88

I was able to clear both. Credit Heist caused me to lose 88 and Cad, but they're both squishy as hell. I made it through the Droid Smuggling event with only 88 falling once and Bane the second attempt.

I second the motion to improve Ability mat RNG on the smuggling event. No reason that not even a Mk 1 Ability mat should drop on the highest tier.

I agree. The rewards are fine as is, the droid event could be tuned up a touch but was otherwise nice. Credits were pretty fun and I even lost a few chars, though if I geared and modded greedo it probably would be a marginal auto,
