(almost) (looking at you CUP) every toon was viable at some point. Having everything viable at one point in not achievable in a PvP enviroment. How can you have strengths if there are no weaknesses? Sorry, but I have to disagree with the last sentence here.
This would be a matter of figuring out what to work with for certain scenarios, if not for the existence of a META.
Rather than figure anything out, the META is what is needed, nothing else. Hence the term.
I do not expect anything to "stay META forever". I do not want a META to be able to exist in the first place.
META for specific opposition or Events, fine. META over any/all other team or faction? Not fine, for me anyway.

All teams/factions should be strong against certain other factions/teams & weaker against others. So the fact that a META exists is what undermines there being any real diversity, to my mind.

I will assume I made it hard to understand over the idea that you just read the parts of my post that you agreed with. So lets clear it up a bit...
Saying that something is just "dumped" into a platoon and useless is just hate talk. But I guess you dont do a lot of TBs, or dont do them at a higher level. You will understand the platoon value in time. It's not the center of discussion anyway so I'll leave it at that.

You obviously missed me pointing out at least 10 teams which are all viable in the top 50. And as soon as a new "meta" emerges, like palp/vader, people start figuring out how to beat it. So now you have a lot more Rex teams around. Is this not exactly what you wanted?

Every team counters and every team has a counter. You are either whinning that everyone is using a very available toon that also happens to be strong (palp) or you want a game where everything you have counters everything that the whales bought.
Not to mention that if there were suddenly a dozen diferent teams with diferent strategies your next post would be "why can't I reach my old arena rank with my 3 viable teams against 10 diferent strategies"
