Hi, Devs,
First, let me say that I really enjoy this game. I started playing back in April of 2016 after a game that I had played for years sunsetted. This helped fill the void for many of my guildmates from the old game. There is a lot to do in the game and I love chatting about it with my guildmates in a third-party messaging app. Keep up the good work.
As a customer support/developer for a multi-billion dollar software company, I feel that this QoL update misses the mark. @Cossin pointed out the main issues in their post on page 5, so I won't reiterate too much. The thing I am really looking forward to here is GW simming (since it was a huge time sink before the update a few months ago that allows me to auto it) and shipment improvements. For the GW simming, I am really hoping that I can sim 12 battles at once to take the time investment from 15-20 minutes to under a minute. That will improve my social life a bit (because my guild activity refresh is at 8:30/9:30 PM for me). Shipment improvements will definitely save me clicks/taps. Click counting is something that my company's end users take very seriously and we go to great lengths to reduce the amount of time/effort they need to invest in order to complete their work.
My company also listens very carefully to our clients (who feed us information from the end users). It seems to me that, although the forum population is not equal to the full player base (but more than likely a small percentage), voices are not being heard for things that are often requested.
Bronzium pack multi-buy -- this seems like a huge, easy to implement win. While I personally try to spend the 5-10 minutes clicking multiple times to burn through 10K-15K ally points at a time a few times a week, I feel most people do not and just let the points accrue. I would suggest addressing this.
Mod management -- this is a time sink when trying to move things around. I personally do not. Instead, I set it and forget it and use other websites who mine data from the game to determine how best to assign my mods. Having mod sets would be a huge time saver.
Arena payouts/time changes -- this is a sore subject (especially on the forums when using the c-word), but I would really like to see a change to payouts. While I get that you don't want everyone to get a good reward every day, it is difficult for people like me who have full-time jobs to effectively play arena. Especially when the payout is at 4/5 PM local time for me (and ships is the hour immediately after). I do have a job, so I have to skip my job for about 20 minutes each day in order to make sure I get a decent reward. I don't know how to best address this, but I feel that you should brainstorm ways and present those to the community to gather feedback. Or at least explain why it needs to be the way that it is.
Challenge/raid rewards -- for challenges, most of the items I get I don't need. Nothing that the Mace challenge offers is useful to me. I have anywhere between 2K and 4K of those items. Similarly, as others have noted here and in other posts, raid rewards should not include some challenge rewards. Ideally, there would be another shop that we can transmute gear into other, more useful gear. (Also, did I read somewhere that you were going to remove the time limit between challenge attempts? This too would help me to save time).
Out of battle squad builder -- do you need an explanation? Nothing worse than having to go to cantina/arena in order to build squads.
Sandbox mode -- I would appreciate a friendly arena face-off with my guildmates.
TW banner rewards -- clearly after reading this thread, many in the forum community are not happy. I think it would be better (and maybe it is your intent) to keep scoring as is for now, but in the event of a tie, go to the tie-breaker scoring (as suggested in the QoL notes). You could show both scores so guilds would know if they need to worry about tie-breaking.
While there is more than likely going to be a second post about QoL updates, I hope that you are listening to the forum player population (who, again, is likely not speaking for the entire player base) about what to improve. I look forward to the hard work that you all are putting in to this game. I really do enjoy it.
