How long did this farm take you though. I saw someone break down the math on reddit and based on that math it takes roughly 5 months to 7*. This seems particularly unreasonable to me.
It's shorter than a 20 energy hard node farm. This game is about getting you to commit long-term. I've done some numbers below:
Assumptions: 40* in both DS/LS TB, 100 million GP guild, Wins every TW, has between 45 - 50 guild members, you're starting from 0 shards
** I don't know the reward structure for DSTB, so I've simply used LSTB GET star reward structure
6600 GET per TB from rewards, 1250 per TB from SMs, 1350 per TW for successful Win = 21,100 GET per month (2 TB and 4 TW)
Each shard of Hoda or Wampa costs 270, so 330 / (21,100 / 270) = 4.22 cycles of 2 TBs and 4 TWs or approx 4 1/2 months (rounding up) the fewer stars you earn, the lower your guild GP, the fewer TWs you win all push this up. So 5 - 6 months doesn't sound like bad math.
That's really not terrible for such high caliber toons and you'll also be getting Hyoda shards as you move up the accomplishment ladder for TB stars earned. I'm not saying it's easy, but relative to Baze, Shoretrooper, Wicket, MT, and others, I find this one to be a lot less frustrating. It's just about committing yourself to a single goal.
