Welcome to 2025: What if we had a forum?

Agree.

Threads seem to default to most liked first every time for me, so scrolling down and reading is generally an incoherent mess, unless I remember to select the order before I start reading.

I used to spend a lot of time on the old forums. A couple of visits per day was normal. Learning stuff, reading opinions, sharing things I'd learnt. Some long threads were well worth the scrolling and reading multiple pages of what was said. 

Now I might visit the forums a couple of times a month, and pretty much just go to the announcements. Seeing this thread at all was a very rare visit to the general discussion page.

I don't see my habits changing while these forums stay as they are.
