Forum Discussion
I agree. The new forum is certainly better in terms of visuals compared to the old one and has admittedly improved somewhat throughout the last few months, but it still could use some improvement here and there.
For one, the sign-in. I would prefer if I didn't have to sign in again every half hour. At the very least, I would be thankful if I could at least sign in immediately instead of having to go through several error messages.
The necros. I agree with Darjelo, I just don't understand what's the point of scrolling through countless threads to find and post in one from years ago. I can understand posting in a thread where the last comment was from a month or two ago. But years? Unfortunately, as strange and meaningless as it is, it was also common during the time of the old forum. Maybe lock the threads after a certain amount of time has passed since the last post. You can still visit the thread, you just can't post anything or leave any likes. It's not so much a technical issue as it is just strange and uncomfortable, but still.
The profile images. Until a while, maybe about two weeks, ago, I had Maul as my profile image. Then, it just somehow turned into a silhouette. And when I tried to change it (back) an hour ago before writing this, I had only a limited choice, and most of the time the image next to my username was different from what I had chosen. Maybe give us a wider arrange of images to choose from, or allow us to upload our own images like in the old forum.
Empty pages. It doesn't happen that often, but it still happens. I open a thread, but there is nothing there aside from the EA banner at the top.
Design. Like I said, the design certainly is more visually appealing, but stick to a single constant design. A few months ago, it kept switching from an EA design to a Khoros (or whatever it was) style. A few days ago, the way the threads showed up on a page had a different design than right now.
Show more. Like you said Seedy, it can become a bit frustrating having to click the "Show more" button who knows how many times just in one thread. I wouldn't mind not being automatically taken to the last place I was in a thread, but I would appreciate it if I could simply scroll down through a thread instead of having to click the same button over and over again.
These are for the most part minor compared to the issues we had a while ago. Still, even just a bit of improvement can do great good sometimes.
I would add to the list:
Arrangement of Replies. Replies to Posts in SWGOH Game Info Hub can be sorted by Most Likes, Oldest or Newest. This kind of option is not available in the regular forum or there is no obvious way to do it. Extending this option alone to the rest of the forum would be a great improvement for content navigation.

It would be great if when you respond to a particular post in the thread the replies would be together right below and indented. It used to be like that, but now the replies just get added to the bottom of the list

When there were too many answers, the "tree" of answers becomes inconvenient. The current look of the forum is more pleasant than it was 0.5 years ago.

Disagree. Especially when you need to repeatedly hit “read more”.
Responses to individual posts in the thread are much easier to follow along with when they are in a tree format, not at the very bottom of the entire list of posts
