It is really too bad that one person who says they can beat it everyday is listened to over the many that are **** off. The calculation has always been questioned and over time it is clear that it doesn't work anymore unless their goal is 11/12. Well then take 12 out of the game, quit rewarding the 1%. Lord knows the real world has enough of that already.
The question you have to ask yourself is: "Why is my roster not deep enough with characters that are well-suited for GW in order for me to win?"
If the response is "Because I prioritized characters/squads that are strong in Arena and/or Raids," then that's your answer. And that's fine. Everyone has priorities. Many people prioritize Arena for the crystal rewards or Raids for their gear rewards. But if you don't plan your overall farming strategy with an eye towards making sure that your ability to complete GW is not hampered by strengthening other characters, then you should acknowledge that that's by choice.
As has been said before, CG has stated that they're satisfied with node completion percentages across the board, and have no plans to change GW.
FWIW, Hermit Yoda may very well make GW easy for many people again. I see Wedge, Biggs, Hermit Yoda, SRP, and Jyn being a very, very strong survival team.
