What is with the era of supports?

Have you forgotten the Era of Anniversary?

Stormtrooper Luke: lifter for Rebel trash. Support.

IG-90: lifter for Aphra. Support.

Choda: lifter for Wookiees. Support.

BH Asajj: lifter for Bounty Hunters. Attacker.

Inquisitor Barriss: lifter for Inquisitors. Healer.

Dave: lifter for Palpatine. Attacker.

Spider Maul: lifter for Starkiller and Stranger. Attacker.

If you're complaining that Era of Myths consists of lifters for older units, Era of Anniversary was the exact same thing. Hell, Era of Myths will actually create a new Sith squad and absorb 2 old Sith into it. Anniversary was all lifters for already existing squads.

If you're complaining that the Era of Myths brings lifters for trash squads, Era of Anniversary did almost the exact same thing. BH outside of HC were trash. Rebel rejects were trash (they're still meh). Wookiees were trash (they're still meh). Palpatine without Starkiller was trash.

If you're complaining about how many units in the Era of Myths have the Support tag, Era of Anniversary is almost identical.

Myths: 3 Attackers, 1 Healer, 2 Supports, 1 Tank.

Anniversary: 3 Attackers, 1 Healer, 3 Supports.

So... what are you actually complaining about? It seems to me that you're complaining just to complain.

Would you rather have a new, small faction like ISB that is benched in every competitive game mode as soon as the FDC expires?

Yeah $$CG$$ thinks players are a herd of cattle. They tell us what we are supposed to use for every squad.  The fun days of using any character in any squad and theorycrafting are long gone. 

EA DJones who runs CG doesn't like players theorycrafting, so making everything cookie cutter is what's happening.  Not having to spend time on "odd" interactions means more time to spend releasing "new shinies" to gain revenue.

It’s the Disney + show: Lego Star Wars rebuilding the galaxy.  Darth Jar Jar and Dark 3PO are the pilots.  The Dark Falcon is a throw away fan service ship in the show.
