Really? We have an (R) president, house, and senate. 33 (R) governors. 68 (R) state legislative houses. But go ahead and listen to the mainstream media and keep thinking the majority of the country is liberal. Because 2/3 of the elected officials in this country will tell you otherwise.
I don't think he's saying anything about being republican/democratic or conservative/liberal. I think he's going more along the lines of Trump making up facts that suit his purposes and to back up ideas that he wants people to believe are true even though there is no actual evidence for it. Having a republican president isn't a surprise, the country is pretty split overall in terms of their actual alignments, but having Trump be the president shows more about how people perceive legitimate information.
