What on earth is Phoenix squadron?

i have no idea who they are and I've no interest in learning. There are plenty of mainstream characters who could be added before this lot. Luke? R2? C3P0? Bossk? C'mon. Please can we focus on the ...

The events are prior to ANH, I cant really see how a SW fan would miss out on that

Like if there is anything essential to the canon I'll watch it(like the end of season two and Maul coming back) but everything else in the show is just filler. Or any scenes with Vader, Ahsoka and Maul. But any of the shows "main" characters I could care less about.

Well, personally the way vader is pictured is essencial, we have never seen Vader so in depth....
But yeah, its mostly filler. The point, though, is that its SW filler, you have the Force, you have lightsaber battles, you have space battles....
If you Watch it for what it trully is, a SW canon kids show, you will be more tolerant towards it.
My honest opinion/advice, but I also respect yours.
