Last I checked you can only have 1 GL on a team, and you need multiple teams to do a fair amount of game modes. My guess is she is there to be a part of one of those teams.
If you dont see a reason too, dont, other might, and some just like to be ready, because you never know.
Also, there is always a plan.......
