When will we get an update on game modes?

recent updates have all been centered on new things we can get. New characters, new packs new passes but there has been no communication on new or updated gameplay. what is the future for GAC and TW? will they ever get some love?

will this be coming in the future or are the things we can do after spending thousands on the new characters, packs and passes be the same thing it has been for years? 

please give us something FUN to do with all the new characters!

any update to gameplay that doesn't involve pointless repetition (looking at you conquest) or pointless battles for the sake of it (looking at episode and character quests - defeat HK-47? why is that a thing?) would be very welcome and refreshing.
