So far, the, “they went to sleep and forgot to press the button” explanation seems the most plausible.

RIP my fleet payout today, was excited. Guess not.

EA support is not helpful at all. They try to change the topic (Vishal from support wanted to tell me "Contraband Cargo is the Millenium Falcon event", so it is already there) and only provide unspecific information.
Anyway, what I learned is that the event is going life some when today ("soon" is the original statement).

Been wondering the same. Apparently Falcon still needs to get off the back of that Star Destroyer so we can chase it.
On a serious note, on reddit I heard that CG is having "technical difficulties" so maybe that's why.

It will take an update, the event data isn't in the game because the devs didn't want people to know when Falcon was coming.

They are too busy for malak. Now they forgot to launch OTMF. Shame
