The latest tournaments (24hr) tourneys where a major step in the right direction the extra ally point cost was a good thing also as it reduced the overall grind. Everyone had the same chance to tot up similar amounts of ally points between tourneys to be able to compete with there respective pay bracket whether that be f2p or p2p.
HOWEVER, there were 2 Major flaws.
1) APK hackers
2) shard/server placement
It's obviously a simple fix to get them in the right direction.
1) come down hard on the hackers/cheats. It seems apparent that these cheats are not being being dealt with harshly enough and rewards are not being re-allocated. They should be perma banned when it's conclusive evidence and every body should of been compensated that were immediately effected. This would increase confidence in the community and with that confidence would result in increased investment.
2) shard placement was awful at best. I agree that it's better for variety to not be placed with your regular arena shards which was good. But the level brackets resulted in huge discrepencies in power deficits. Brackets 10 levels wide was far too big. But the +80 shards were even worse as players were placed with much maturer opponets. Simplify this placement to shards allocated by the month you started and not defined by player level would of resulted in a fairer experience for both f2p and p2p and there respective expectations.
