Let me echo what the majority of us are saying. Thank you EA for stopping the tournaments, and specially, thank you for trying hard and listening. It is great to see that the EA team is well tuned to the user base -- EA tried hard to make tournaments work, but ultimately it did not, and they needed to fold until you find a better way to bring them back.
Most of us felt frustrated, the long hours + no way to get and keep rank. The time investment was not justified. I am happy to read that it translated in decreased participation, it surely did not feel that way, my last tourney (Erso) felt like the others, a marathon to just squeeze in the full 4* toon.
I could have just the daily dose of Ally Points though. Every now and then I would pull a purple salvage or shards for Sarge, Ewok Scout and other toons. That was a welcome respite EA. There was no need you to take away the AP, many of us feel like the gear grind, credit crunch and long wait to farm cool new toons or ship is a bit too much. Shore in LS 9B only? oh, please.
But back to the point, this note is to celebrate you, thanks for listening and trying -- good riddance tourneys, welcome new format to introduce toons (re: cadence). EA has to eat, and we welcome the chance to use the awesome toons and ships you design. Even if I have to wait 4 months and climb the gear wall.
