RE: the return of tourney's -- Make it, maybe, an automated round robin with a smaller pool of players (Initially based on Arena rank) - you have 6 battles day 1. Winners all get grouped in a new pool together - losers get pooled together - it continues. The tourney ends, say, day 4 - everyone has win/lost for three days and are in their final group - with tiers of rewards based on pool.
Points should be based not just on life/death but also damage dealt, or maybe just by damage dealt. Having an unkillable heal squad wouldn't necessarily be the path to victory.
Not a bad idea but also caters to top shard old players we need less biased system, like players that were around when mods were introduced have +26 speed secondaries that are not possible any more. I have very fast modes overall (top set +116) but my top speed is +16 and just recently my guild member scored one with +20. And we all know speed is king queen and hell's army all in one. You can't keep punishing guys that were not around when modes were introduced - or give us same terms back. I just went on bad 18 gold or purple mod streak without going over 10 speed, go figure. In the early days it was boom boom boom 20+ very often.
So i suggest tournament model where there is a separation between players like me 6 mos into the game and somebody playing for more than 1+ year.
