No it is not a minor inconvenience. It is a huge time suck for that and any competent coder could have remedied in an afternoon a decade ago.
Every other game that has these kind of product drops have a mass open feature. Hearthstone just off the top of my head to say nothing of that Marvel game.
For you to blithely blather "minor inconvenience" says that you're some customer support toady that neither plays the game nor knows what you're talking about.
It is subjective when you present no evidence except other peoples subjective opinions (Content Creators you refer to). Particularly when you don't back this up with any kind of data.
Personally if I hated or was as frustrated as you are with this game and CG Id exercise my right to walk away and play something I do enjoy.The data is all over youtube.
This has been a known issue for months and if CG can't be bothered to aggregate the data themselves, I'm not going to do it for free for them.
Something else I've noticed....suddenly there are lots and lots of guilds over 300M GP looking for members. Our own guild has had 4 vacancies for weeks now. It used to be that vacancies would be filled within hours. Not anymore. That means that there are fewer both longer term and mid duration players.
Clearly you are a CG employee offering a weak excuse for poor decision making.
Also, I notice that you didn't even bother to offer an excuse for their change in MkI raid currency items....because you know I'm right.
Its a pain. When 3rd party tools can do that, there is no excuse for the game not to offer that same feaure.

I think it's quite difficult. Apparently it's a Star Wars thing where the player-base is so toxic toward their game. It's extremely frustrating and does nothing for progress. There's an endless supply of unconstructive and often ludicrous complaint threads that bring a 'shill-like' character out in a lot of us. I would say you're right next to CG's pocket though on the shill spectrum!
The old forum site was terrible for it, I'm surprised EA didn't make a Zombies vs Plants spin-off....... "Shills vs Tinfoil-hatters". Most threads were a new guy complaining about something stupid and half a dozen established forumers smacking them into place. The tinfoil guys create the shills. The shills then chase the tinfoil guys off of the site. A sad recurring toxic circle.
No right, because pointing out legitimate issues in the game (that neither of you have adequately addressed beyond "subjective" when it clearly is not subjective) and the management of the game somehow makes me a troll.
For all I know, both of you are the same CG customer support shill talking to yourself.
