Why does Luke's defense get WORSE with more levels?

Has anyone noticed that Luke's armor and resistance sometimes get worse as you level him up? My entire swgoh experience tells me that this should be going the other way around.

So is this on purpose for some uncommunicated reason? Or is this is a mistake indicative of incompetence and QC failure?

Because the Armor% formula is weird. Level is on the denominator. So, if you increase level and not armor, your % does go down. Disclaimer, been a while since I used this formula. Could be wrong.
Armor% = 100×Armor/(7.5*Lvl + Armor)

Because the Armor% formula is weird. Level is on the denominator. So, if you increase level and not armor, your % does go down. Disclaimer, been a while since I used this formula. Could be wrong.

Thanks for the informative reply. I didn't know that. I guess I was jumping to conclusions. I don't think I've ever seen that happen to a character, but it's a been a very long time since I've looked at the defense stats of very low-level characters.
