Why Light Side is the perfect decision for TB.

I don't think that the light side is "way, way, way more popular." That just doesn't line up with my opinions or the opinions of anyone I've ever talked to, which doesn't mean it's not true, but it makes me question the statement. Here's the reasoning: I've met lots of people who absolutely love the dark side but never have I seen a rabid light side fan. The only light side faction that has a large fanbase are the Jedi, and most people like them not because they are good guys, but because they use lightsabers and the force. I can't imagine that the rebel faction has much of a fan base except for 12 year olds who love the show.

Devs never said specifically who could or could not be used.

They said that the terrain would actually matter instead of just being pretty scenery which would be a new facet of the game.

Many people guessed (myself included) that Snowtrooper and Veers would get some sort of bonus based on this reasoning that the terrain matters and that they were on Hoth.

I was dead wrong.

All the "leaks" seemed to point only to lightside toons.

Fortunately, I have Hoth Scout at 7* and will soon have Hoth Soldier at 6*.
In general though, my lightside is very undergeared.

One of the things that WAS specifically said is that we wouldn't need to panic farm and gear toons for this TB and it seems for those with mostly DS developed toons, it seems that is untrue .

I have Phoenix at 7*, many Rebels at 7* and most of Rogue One (aside from Baze) 7* but almost none of them are past gear 8 which stinks pretty darn bad.

It's just not fun because I play the game against the meta most of the time and Rebels have largely been meta.

I don't hate LS, I just hate playing the same thing as everyone else. Now I feel like I am being punished for it.

Whining or not that's where I am.

I don't care how good the reason for ls only is. Bottom line is they give us a game that lets us pick then force us to use only one side. "Deploy" is not a "use" it's just a make them count to make the ones who can't count their toes quit complaining dark side isn't used. If you can count your toes... well then it's obvious they are not doing anything special.

Here's my issue with DK right now if they were to run a TB on this scale... How many people have solid functional teams when they have to dump all their Sith or Empire into platoons?

Nightsisters are trash right now (though I hear they have a rework inbound), Bounty Hunters are a motley crew of mostly terrible toons, First Order are serviceable thanks mostly to Phasma and Kylo carrying them (heaven forbid you have to deploy one of them to a platoon), raiders are a joke and the best parts of Separatists are really just a droid team which is... functional.

Compared to all the solid LS toons that people mostly have farmed anyways... it'd be a nightmare trying to do these combat missions with DS the way it is.

I foresee a slew of reworks before we see a real DS TB. Nightsisters, Separatists and Bounty Hunters being chief among them. We might see some more empire characters when the new season of Rebels comes out as well, and more FO when the movie arrives. I definitely would like to see some DS rotations on TB's, but not till they've made more of them worth farming for reasons beyond TB. (Giving Grievous a capital ship and getting a Separatist pass would do wonders)

Maybe they should've released a few more ds toons the last few months. A few less light side/rebels would've also helped.
Ds reworks as well.

They put the game in the state it currently is in. They chose that path.
There were other options.

What a lame opinion. You know, i'm a december 2015 player, what i'd really love about this game was strategy, build your squad, try to figure what's create a good synergised team.

Now, no option. No theory crafting, build rebels, build luke and don't even try to think over the box ...because it will simply not work.

That includes: arena, tb, and mostly raid

look at the pvp teams, 99.99% ls chars

and the few ds teams which were left, not able to compete even any more

this purely sucks

As long as the next TB is DS I don't mind
