Why no rewards for Marquee Events after Initial Rollout?

I get the first time rollout of the Marquee events is where you can earn the shards for a new character, portrait, titles etc.. but after that they come back and there's nothing else for us to earn from it showing up on our Event panel. Why not? Why can't we get even some basic gear, some credits, ability mats, anything at all from them? At that point, if we get nothing from them, why not just hide it if we've already gotten the character? 

I propose you setup SOME form of rewards for doing them, give us access to the Tiers as we may have previously not had access, but now should. And then we can get something out of the event, even if it's not the first time release rewards.
