I could still see there being some sniping and you may still get that message. For example there is one guy in our shard that seems to camp in the top 5 and will snipe people at random times. Far enough apart that it can't be just for a payout climb.
But it would be nice to be able to do the climb at a time other than right after work and during the dinner hour. Or some weeks when I have to work late, I have to try and climb sporadically throughout the day because I won't have time before my payout.
It would be so much more rare in occurrence, though. It may even detur the guy who does it on your shard from doing it at all anymore since there would be no such thing as an exact payout time anymore. He would never know when people's payouts are.
