“Status Effects”: what does it entail?

Hey all. TL;DR, are the blue effects “status effects” and not just effects that simply exist and wouldn’t trigger regen under KRU?

I like to consider myself a theory crafter, but I’m also poor so I can’t always build or try out any weird teams I can think of (lol). I’ve got a squad folder called “OTHER” full of weird squads like a GG led Droid team with all 4 other rebel droids, a CLS team with Badstilla, etc. I have more recently wondered what a KRU led FO team with SLKR and padme in it would behave like. I’ve weighed the pros and cons, but can’t try it cuz I don’t have SLKR. THE POINT IS though, do the blue effects in game that aren’t buffs or debuffs still count as “status effects“, especially under KRU’s lead? And if so, would SLKR’s siphon effect have incredible potential for health and protection regen under such a lead? Any answers or speculations would be very helpful ✌🏻.

Blue effects don't count as status effects. In my head they're "keyword effects" since they don't generally do anything in and of themselves and only serve to modify other abilities, but I don't know what their official name is.

You wouldn't generally want to run SLKR under a KRU lead regardless, though, since that lead gives bonus TM on crits which will cause the team to very rapidly eat up its own max health and protection.
  • I don't believe Siphon counts as a status effect, however you can test it with some of the prepared scoundrels like Young Han under KRU. Have him spread prepared to a FO ally and double check to see if that prepared effect counts as a status effect. They're both blue.

Also another thing suggesting they don't count, if GAS has guard and drops into cover he loses all status effects and when he comes back he still has guard.
  • Status effects include buffs and debuffs (green and red). Things like syphon, guard or prepared don’t count as status effects. A way to think of it is if the “effect” doesn’t do anything on its own, but serves as a marker to help show what’s going on with a character’s ability, it’s probably not a status effect.
  • I’ve tried finding the status effects in game condensing addon update description, but no luck. Finding that update might help
  • I know about the tm gain, that’s why I had padme in there. But if siphon isn’t technically a status effect then the whole team is scrap anyway
