I just recently got her to 7 stars and looked over her leader ability. Could her lead, with Yoda on the team be a good counter to the current meta?

Depends on the team you face, but definitely not on defense : Palp (L), DT, Vader, Boba and Shore will kill you : crit immunity, shock, cleanse on your team, AB, DoT... On the paper it seems good I agree but so many counter if they know a bit about your squad.
