Someone had given me that bad advice for 3's vs NS teams.Swap going to EP 1st is better IMO. Vader gets to go next as a guarantee anyway with 3 of them stunned. It is not a guarantee that the speed down will shutdown Talzin and Zombie. I need the stun 1st.

There's no guaratee that you will stun even one of them.You swap to Vader so that he debuffs the team then takes another turn due to TM gain. Then you'll use culling blade and EP jumps to 100% TM too.

The 70% stun chance and 85% (max achievable) chance to debuff are two separate actions.Edit:70% stun chance is clear, nothing to explain there. Now for potency and tenacity:1. If you have let's say 0% potency, target has 20% tenacity, you have 80% chance to land a debuff.2. If you have 20% potency, target has 105% tenacity, you have 85% chance to debuff.3. If you have 150% potency, target has 125% tenacity, you still have 85% chance to debuff. There is always 15% chance to resist.Whether it's scenario 1, 2 or 3, EP's stun goes through another check first, the 70%. In scenario 3 this means you have 85% of 70% to stun, which is 59.5%.

So that is the doors some guy mentioned a while ago. First door is chance of occurring, second door tenacity vs potency, third door the 15% of resisting. I skipped the first door....

I wouldn't say I easily disregarded it. I mean, I did try the advice once and it failed me or I failed it. I wonder if I didn't cull blade and instead tried to ability block. When I am fighting those NS teams I do try and keep MT blocked so she doesn't AOE

I thought you preferred stuns. If usin CB, your EP will move before the enemy MT.

When trying a new tactic, trying it more than once is a necessity. For example, I had to use my Padmé team at least 25 times against Malak to figure out how to even get a 50% win-rate. I lost at least the first fifteen times in a row, which was discouraging, but I pushed through and learned new tricks and techniques and battle predictions that help me to succeed now.

Follow the advice everybody is giving; Swap TM with Vader, then Force Crush, then Culling Blade, and then all three/five of your empire should be at 100% TM (the entire goal of the palp-Vader duo) and enemy is crippled.

From there it’s a roll of the dice who goes next, but you’ll have Thrawn‘a fracture, Palp’s AoE stun (or shock on basic, don’t overlook its usefulness), and Vader’s basic with AB to play around with. If you can’t take a similarly-leveled NS team with that opening and a little practice, then not sure what else to recommend.

PS - I think most people multi-sim through GW these days, but it can actually still be useful to switch and test out mods and abilities and flow and whatnot there. I like testing my 3-man GA defensive teams against the final 1-2 nodes, it can be rather informative.

That's wrong : Tenacity have to be higher than Potency to have an effect : then resist chance is Tenacity-Potency with a minimum of 15%

Just use TFP instead of Vader and then you can do what you want :)

According to the calculations, the success ratio of EP stun is below 60% because evading can’t be ignored but I sometimes feel EP’s stun lands at over 60%. Surely just for rng though.
I don’t use EP against NS especially on 3v3, too rng dependent. There are more reliable counters.

I do prefer stuns, but with EP Vader Thrawn there is only 1 stun source on a 4 turn cool down (maybe 3), Vader has ability block on basic. When I'm not stunning I'm ABing
