Advice for Jedi Team - Total F2P

The main isn't in your favor atm. I just finished gettin Plo Koon from cantina. It took over 200 energy for 3 shards, lol. I already had 47 shards before patch notes so, if this is any indication of things to come I'm just going to sit back and wait to see how the event plays out. We have serval threads that give you the math for this event check them out. Based on all the number crunching I just don't see anyway for me to event this event beyond the 2* stage. I really don't want to switch all my resources to trying to win this event atm. Basically I would have to skip daily rewards and leveling main PVP team just to get the need Jedi's for this event. I don't really want to do that. I just wait to see the new update before I deciding to do anything.

So you would advise me to sit out on the event, and focus on what I've planned prior to the patch notes?

I'm in a similar situation. FTP Player, been playing since early January. I decided to switch my leveling of my existing team to start grabbing some Jedi characters for the new event. I had already have Tano (got in a Bronzium draw) to go with my JC. Going to get QGJ from cantina, as he's only 50 shards and seems like a pretty strong character. Likewise, going to get Lumi from GW, as I've wanted to add her for a while anyway. Eeth Koth is the only Jedi in arena, so grabbing him too, even though I'd rather finish starring up my Sid.

The way I'm thinking about it, what's the rush in getting the main characters starred up? Can always do that later, but since the new event is going to be limited duration, may as well get the characters needed to play it, and can come back to the others afterward. I'm probably going to incorporate Lumi at least into my main team anyway.

Tano was a good steal for you. I wished I have luck like yours, never once I've pulled a free char out of Bronzium.

You seemed to be playing about the same time as me, how are you faring?
Lumi is really good because I've had her since the start. What squad are you having right now?
Are you completing GW daily?

I stopped my Sidious at about the same point as you to start on Eeth, right or wrong. I wish he were a bit tougher, but he's not underpowered. If it turns out it's the wrong thing to do it won't take all that long to get him to 7 stars, anyway. If you find you really need him at 7 stars it's "only" about a week to get him there from where you are.

I see no reason not to get your JC to 5 stars before you start on Mace.

For cantina shipments I'd get Daka first. She's super useful for DS missions and the one challenge, both of which will help immensely in farming gear, which you'll also need for these new Jedi. She's also handy in GW since you can "reroll" by retreating and try to get a good RNG with her. Getting some good stuns can allow you to win a battle you might not have a chance on otherwise. Bringing a character back in GW can be huge. I'd leave her at 4 stars and then go right on to QGJ.

But the issue now probably would be, the patch will be live by next week!
and i won't get to work on Daka and QGJ when the patch comes live!

Hmm. I got some other characters out of Bronziums too. I got General Veers that way on my main account, and actually got Tano on both of my accounts. Luck of the draw I guess.

I'm having fun with the game. Not sure I'm doing great, but also not as committed to it as a lot of the folks I see here, who are focused on farming up their characters to get a couple of extra positions in Arena fights. I've played around with different combinations, spent upgrades on getting some characters (e.g. Ventress) to see how they would fit with others, etc. My main team right now is Phasma (5*) Sid (will hit 6* after today's Arena payout), JC (5*), IG-86 (5*) and Either Tano (4*) or Talia (4*). Will replace that last slot with Lumi once I get her for the Jedi event. Also planning to grab Poe to replace JC, and just about have him, though I switched my Cantina payouts toward QGJ for the Jedi event per my post above.

On my 2nd account, which I just started about a week ago, I'm working toward a droid team. I have HK-47 (4*) and IG-86 (3*) already. I'm working toward IG-88 now, and will add Poe to protect the droids. I'll either add Lumi to this as a healer, or Poggle. Haven't decided yet.

I try and get through GW. Per my post in another thread, my main account has had a run of bad GW draws this week, where I'm drawing mid-60s level units against my level 57 unit by the 4th fight. I've barely gotten 400 coins per day this week. On my 2nd account, I've beaten GW easily every day since I unlocked it. Weird.
