Anyone run the falcon in ship arena?

I just got it to 5* seems a decent jump in power from 4* but haven’t seen it other than a very soft 4* version. Worth persevering with other than for platoons?

I run a 7* Falcon, pilots G12. It's a great offensive weapon that has amazing synergy with BUW. It's got a glass jaw and can't take a hit though. Having a damage redirector is probably a good idea

It’s useless on anything but a new shard. You get better Biggs usage (i.e. target locks for insta-shields and insta-taunt) from dark side ships. I like seeing someone running any rebel or clone ships: they’re going to get squished on defense in short order even if they mak it into the top 10.

LOL. I have a number of whales on my shard running falcons, and they all finish at the top at their payout. Don't be so quick to dismiss other lineups. There are quite a few that do pretty well.

Not wth any real viability. The Biggs / Empire mix is too effective to pass up. Running a Rebel mix Biggs doesn’t get enough target locks to recharge shields quick enough. The Clone squads tanking get one or two shield ups max on their tanks per complete round on average. Compare that to Biggs / Empire which can easily get 4. TS has speed up and stun, FOSFTF has a protection ignoring attack, ITF grants TM to cap ship and lots of locks, FOTF lots of TM with repeated strafes and target locks, Gauntlet has buff immunity other bonuses, TA target locks (with auto re-lock on expire) and kill enemy ITF, TR enemy cap ship TM reduction, target locks, and buffs, S1 has a protection ignoring attack and multi-attack with target locks. Done right the enemy has a heck of a time getting through the shields and three target locks (easy to do) means full shields again. Heck, Scimitar in the mix makes target locks easy on reinforcements, with auto lock recharging Biggs shields and auto-taunting right before they attack.

Umbaran has some utility due to sheer HP but it’s special is only useful with multiple target locks at higher levels, and if Biggs is doing his job the enemy won’t have many. Heck, they might only have one TL on Biggs.

Combine that with Tarkin/Thrawn AOE attack’s and Biggs / Dark Side outclasses anything else.

I don’t care if it’s 7*, with good crew, if they don’t have a Biggs getting regular target locks it’s toast quicker than an Umbaran with a Falcon. If you have a high level Biggs, you might as well run Dark Side. Maybe if you’re missing something above, or you want to run it for fun, you can run the Falcon.

That only matters if the match drags on... Who cares if Biggs doesn't last more than 1-2 rounds when the entire enemy team is dead in 1-2 rounds.

I am in a new shard AND don't have Biggs yet, and I am killing people as much as 80k higher than me within 3 rounds...

Unfortunately we don't have stats on how many successful defenses we have, but I can say that after 24h of not swinging I had only been knocked back from 12 to 27...
  • @PrideOfTheWicked what’s your line up? Curious as to how it compares to mine and whether it might make a transition worthwhile :)

This is a very odd overview. In my ship fights, biggs doesn't last more than one round. You speak so much of recharging, but he usually dies so fast that he maybe gets to recharge once or twice, and then it doesn't add enough to keep him alive. Heck, in a fight yesterday I 1 shotted biggs from full health and protection, and it's not that uncommon.

Do the ships on your shard just not hit that hard?
  • Biggs is much more OP in newer shards since no one can do enough damage until they're built up.

    I agree with that.

    I agree with that.

And me! I use Biggs as a way to get a couple of target locks on and then replace him with mauls ship when he dies and stealth everyone but the imp tie

    Mace
    Biggs - redirection
Bistan - guaranteed TL, unavoidable attack, grants speed/advantage
    Vader - guaranteed TL
Boba - high TL%, multi attack TL opponents
    T Fighter Pilot - high TL%
    Bench...
5s - multi attack TL opponents
**** - multi attack. amazing Bistan synergy
    JC - buddy call/heals
CS - unavoidable always critical vs TL opponents

Paid at #1 everyday. 90%+ battles are over in 90 seconds.

    Hmmm I pretty
Much target mace ships with my tarkin fleet and as you say most battles are over in 90 seconds or so..
Biggs, vader, imp tie, boba and either fo tie or sun fac (one specific fleet needs two tanks for me o beat it) then maul, wedge 5s and either fotp or fun sac as reinforcement..
Rarely need two reinforcements on offense as Biggs dies first and then I hide all but tfp and just dodge away..my tfp is the faster than all but two others in my shard so 90% if the time tl before anyone else, always in Vader’s ship as it’s tenacity is the lowest (15%) and then Biggs is taunting..
