I recently had 3 household members die, I decided to put their graves on my lot and strengthen their connection to the physical world so my other Sims could still interact with them, and because I would miss them! I've interacted with ghosts plenty of times in The Sims 3 and 4, and I always thought it was really fun. I've explored all the interactions and cheats with ghosts because it's so much fun. What I was not prepared for was 3 Gloomy ghosts wreaking havoc on my freaking household appliances and plumbing. All the while, my living Sims are mourning them while receiving texts and phone calls from the ghosts! I found it so annoying and overwhelming after a while. I'm only just now coming back to The Sims 3 after about a year, but I don't remember being so annoyed with Ghosts in TS3. After a while, I put them in "time out" by putting their graves in my inventory. I've considered bringing them back to life, because they weren't this annoying while they were alive lmao.

@jamie2112 If you have their tombstone and you get tired of dealing with the ghosts, you can click on their tombstone and send them to the netherworld. It will delete them from your game.

I always take dead sims tombstones to a graveyard lot so my sims can visit the graveyard if they want to but don't live with ghosts.

Yes. This is a new save played on Long, but with all of the changes to the number of days in each level, the only deaths that have occurred, thus far, have been a few NPCs; mostly Paparazzi, and the one Butler my family had early on. I do recall the havoc that ghosts wrought back when I was playing the Pinstar Legacy Challenge and points were rewarded for having ghosts from the differing deaths.

I've been adding ghosts to my latest rotational save but only because I use mods and with MCCC retuner I can prevent ghosts from haunting and /or breaking things. They are so much nicer to have around this way.

Oh I'm going to have to try that. When it's just one ghost, the breaking things isn't so bad, but when it's 2 or more, it's a big problem.

I think of it as an opportunity to have my sims build up their handiness skill faster. If you have ghosts you definitely will need to fix things more! If your sim is a spellcaster, your skill will rise faster from the frequent use of Repairio. I love my haunted residences and always add spooky so ghosts will visit. Adds to the atmosphere!

This is one of the reasons why I keep ghosts around. My 100 baby challenge teens always have some handiness skill by the time they age up to YA because they're constantly repairing things their ghost siblings broke overnight, lol.

I recently tried ChippedSim's Ghastly Ghosts mod, and it's actually making ghosts a little more interesting. It's a fairly new mod and it seems promising, so hopefully they'll add more features to it over time.

@PandoraTO Thanks for the info! I am making a list of mods that may interest me once Sims 4 ends, and will add it to the list. I agree that the ghosts in the game need improvement and would love it if they allow us to make them in CAS. We shouldn't have to use cheats to have a playable ghost. Hoping we do get more features for them in the game itself in the near future.
