Arena Irregularities

Has anybody else noticed how insane arena has become lately, like bumping over me over 400 places overnight every now and then for no apparent reason after remaining fairly stable for months? Then there are the Nightsister squads whose difficulty seems to change from one day to the next. One day they are fairly straight forward to take care of and the next nothing sticks to them and they can't be beaten? These are often the same players I fight on a regular basis and nothing drastic has changed in their modding. It all seems a bit strange and damn frustrating.

    Two things mainly:
    Most teams are bad at defense, even the meta ones so they drop
    On Saturday and Sunday, people do their dailies which include arena fights so they fight more and you may be targeted more

    To add to that, if you are dropping 400 places, you are out at the range where jumps are large. You may only be losing a few battles.

    I could kinda understand that if this were happening every weekend but it's not. It seems completely random. And I also understand how the arena is now somewhat more open and you can't rely on your squad holding onto the same position for long. But these seemingly out-of-the-blue bumps seem very odd, especially as I'm now defeating every squad in the 3rd spot on the way back up with ridiculous ease.

    I'm just thinking it could possibly be because I spent 50 crystals for an extra fleet refresh yesterday. So now I'm expected to waste crystals every day trying to claw my way back up the ladder in both arenas. I wouldn't put anything past EA.

    Sometimes you just get unlucky and a bunch of people decide to fight you. I usually stay in the 20-30 range, and sometimes I stay at the same rank overnight, but every once in a while I fall to around 80-90. It's really frustrating, and I used to think it was because some people were targeting me specifically, but now I just chalk it up to bad luck and move on.
