Looking at the general trend, Rebels is the way to go and Commander Luke Skywalker is way too important. I'd stick to your current Rebels and farm up the characters needed for CLS event instead. You should be close to level 85 by the time the event comes back around.
P.S. Old Ben doesn't need to be highly geared or leveled, just needs to be 7*. So you can continue gearing ST Han who is in your current Arena Squad anyway.
