I have been working on building a NS squad, assaj, talzin, zombie, talia and daka. Main uses are in p4 sith raid, GA and TW. I am not going to run in arena. My goal is to get them around 95k gp. I currently have both assaj zetas and dakas unique.My question is, do I need to have talzins zeta in order to use the squad properly in GA and TW or will assaj's leader work well? I don't have a lot of knowledge of the sisters but it seems like talzins is the more heavily used lead. Is that just the trend or is talzins that much better? I'm going to put a zeta on talzins unique but was hoping to stop there. However, I want the squad to be usable on defense in GA and TW. Should I just bite the bullet and add the lead zeta or will I have luck with using assaj in lead?I appreciate the help with this! Thanks

imo, Ventress lead is significantly better in raids and Talzin lead is significantly better in GA/TB/TW. I have both leads zeta'd so I can do well in HSTR and also run 2 zeta NS teams in 3v3 GA. Asajj can do well as a leader in GA, but a Talzin team is a lot harder to beat.

Personally I drop Talia in GA and TW, and replace her with Nest under Asajj lead. It's nasty, and usually gets me a few defences. Definitely performs better for me on defence than Talzin lead.

it wont "work better". it work differently. sometimes you wanna use this,sometimes this.anyway, if you already have 1 zetad, just use it. you got AV L Z, you keep with this. no need to spend a zeta for a new L you'll rather use from time to time. in terms of price/value - keep MT not zetad. not because its not good, but because you already have zAV L, so the value MT L bring is smaller.

While I don't have a lot of experience running nightsisters myself I have fought against them quite a bit, and Talzin lead is definitely the more potent lead on defense. The extra revives and plague from Talzin lead far outweigh what the Asaji lead brings to the table. NS are not about hitting hard or stopping the other team. Their schtick is surviving long enough to kill the other team. This is true on O or D.

Cost vs value. I just didn't want to put the effort into this squad but have them not perform how I wanted them when I simply just needed to add one more zeta.

Assaj Lead sufficient or need to run talzin lead?

IMO Asajj lead is outdated(like Vader's). It's not terrible, but ~~there are so many teams and individual toons with high tenacity, that the TM reduction gets reduced and~~ once you get past the Zombie's 2 resses and Daka, it's over for that team.

With Talzin, you can wipe 3-4 members of their a NS team out, and they still have a chance to bring back the whole squad in a nasty chain of events, especially with plague going around. This is why she's preferred in PvP. Both leads give +30 speed, but the extra potency increases chance for plague, and the chance to your entire team to come back at any given time can be very punishing if the enemy isn't careful.

Asajj's lead is best for p4 in sith raid, when Nihilus is still in play because the TM reduction on enemy + TM gain for NS due to how any time you take an action, you take damage.

Asajj lead is used a lot and considered more of a stronger defense team if my GA / TW opponents are to go by but personally, I struggle a lot more against MT lead. Both are equally solid in my opinion .
If you have AV lead just stick with it. You don’t need to have MT lead zeta
