I’m about to commit to the bad batch and probably take them to relic (over time since I need to farm them and get gear), but was wondering which 5th to do. My main 3 options are Shaak Ti, Rex, and Omega(Shaak and Rex are already farmed to 7* but none are upgraded at all). I was wondering which is the best character to go with them. Since I plan to go for GS sometime, I may not want to take Rex since he’ll be needed with GAS, but then again, I’ll want him geared for GAS anyway. But I’ll also need to power Shaak for GS event. Since I have the others farmed, avoiding the long Omega farm is a factor. If there is another good 5th option that I missed, please let me know. Advice is much appreciated.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago and the responses were too use rex or shaak. I mean they both are needed anyway if you're planning on getting gas. But farming omega as soon as she's farmable is probably smart as if it turns out that she really is the best you can still swap her in later

Echo for the speed is a good first choice, Hunter and tech g10 requires only one kyro so thats probably achievable

In the meantime, only gear omega using gear you don’t need for the other Bb. Even at low gear omega will give you a pretaunt and some utility.Be careful with your r8 if you’re going for LV and you only have conquest to earn the r8 material. Depending on Executor power, saving your few r8 for Executor could be the best course of action first. You can keep your relic materials until you’re ready to relic 2 characters at once and then decide where you’ll put your hard gained resources.Happy farming !

I use Shaak with JKR, GMY, and Jolee when Bastilla Shan is off with my JML squad.

Unfortunately for me, I do not have JML. The JKR squad I run is JKR, GMY, Bastila, Jolee, and Hoda, so I don’t really have an open spot.

I’ve seen lots of mixed messages regarding Omega. Some have said she’s pretty solid in the team and some have said she is garbage, so I don’t know what to believe.

Omega is trash, don't waste your resources on her (farming her shards is fine just in case she's going to be required for something).
Either use just the 4 (they're so good together that they can take out most teams without a 5th) or add one of the various plug'n'play choices: Shaak, Rex, Cody, Barriss (zeta), Gideon.

Well thanks for the input, I’m thinking I’ll just start gearing the main 4 and use them as a underdog until I get them all 7*. Depending on her node, I’ll probably farm omega in case she turns out to be good or needed for some bad batch related event. Since I don’t have enough kyrotech for all of them, what is the order of importance for gearing? Echo first maybe, then who?

Indeed. Longer fights seem to be her place. BB not really great in raids anywhere, and the extra time in TB for her damage to get up would make sense.

However, there are many squads that perform very well in raids that have far more application and utility across the game than BB, and with LS geo being quite an endgame run, most people won’t even see it to use BB there. So I wouldn’t go for a single node farm, with that high Kyro requirement. If it’s a raid squad you want then Shaak and Clones easier to get and gear, would perform better in raids, and do very well in LS TB.
