Bariss vs healing immunity

Hey guys, I wonder why Bariss healing spell still work when one of my character DID inflict healing immunity to an opponent. Some kind of bug? Do you have the same issue ? Its getting annoying during GW and PVP

No, it's NOT a bug, read the tooltip on her ability, it EQUALIZES health then applies a heal. What you're seeing is only the first half, the equalization, when an immunity debuff is on, the heal portion of the skill is still blocked.

If you don't believe it then watch her try a heal when she's the only toon left and is immunity blocked, nothing happens, there's no other toon to equalize with.

It's her large health pool available to share out through the mechanics of the first part that makes it seem like a heal through a block.

If Barriss is the only healer on the team, I've find the best method to negate her heal ability is, instead of focusing down one target, spreading the damage out across all of enemy team. Since her ability equalizes health, if all of her team has 75% health, when she uses her heal, they pretty much won't be healed at all, AND if the a majority of the team is heavily damaged, her ability will actually bring down the health of those characters that have more health.

If there are no counter attackers on a team with only Barriss as a healer, AoE will be your best counter to her ability. If you don't have AoE, distribute your attacks onto each character, rather than trying to focus one.

If the other team has Barriss and another healer, that complicates the AoE/distributed damage process, as the primary healer can bring up everyone's health. Since healers only use their heal when a member of their team gets to about 25% health left, or their team's overall health gets to a certain level, you can use it to your advantage. If the target you are wanting to kill is a little below half health, and your heavy hitters have already had a turn, and their healer has a turn coming up, DON'T hit that target with your light hitters, because this won't kill the target, and will prompt AI to heal. Hit a different target with your light hitters, THEN, after their healer does an attack other than healing, use your heavy hitter(s) to finish off the lower health target.

You will have to experiment with what level of health prompts an AI heal, but that is how you strategize using the turn meters (blue bar under health). Pay attention to the turn meters, as they give you information about how the next few turns will go. For example, AI Sidious always attacks with AoE first, so you know his next turn will be a basic attack, that will likely apply healing immunity. So, it is often best to use a heal before he gets his next turn, so that your characters aren't trying to chug through healing immunity while being focus fired.
