Maul works great. He grants retribution to a target ally and stealth to all other allies. This forces the enemy to attack the unit with retribution, and every attack makes that ally counter-attack. This counts as an "attack out of turn", which triggers Home One's unique ability - giving that unit protection for each counter-attack.
