Best team to unlock R2D2

Also include some battle strategies please.

I had EP G11, DV G10, Tarkin G8, TFP G9, RG G8. I just ensured my mods had speed secondaries to make them as fast as possible. I took out Leia and Han first, R2 was too slow to take down first as my team were previously being slaughtered by the damage from them. I then focused on R2 and stunned the remaining toons with RG. TFP buff immunity and EP Shock were the key to stopping R2 buffing himself. I managed it on the 8th attempt.

EP lead, Shoretrooper, Death Trooper, Krennic, Vader all G10. Very very easy, no strategy needed.

Zader G10 speed 180, Palp G11 speed 180, TFP G10 speed 195, DT G10 speed 180, RG G8 speed 120. No special strategy needed. Taunt is needed to keep others alive as R2 is very fast. DT double strike gives daze and stun. Culling blade takes out one of them. Nothing special. Took one try.

All level 85 and some good RNG. Ended up with EP vs Old Ben and Chewie.

I finally got this done with following (was very close but couldn't complete until I upgraded EP to gear X - was just enough to win):

EP (Lead, gear X)
DV (gear X)
GMT (gear VIII) - was kind of useful for a bit, then he died fast
ST (gear VIII) - same as GMT though a good taunt did allow a few more hits from the big boys of the group
RG (gear VIII)

None have an Zeta skills but have maxed out skills otherwise.

So not the most powerful team. Tactic was to focus on R2D2 as much as possible but knock off the others as I could (Vader's Culling Blade was very useful here). Took a few attempts with this team, and ended up with just Vader and Chewie beating each other up (with Vader winning, of course).

So for those without top end Empire toons and level X gear, you can do it..... eventually (and with a bit of planning and luck).

not a team, but deathtrooper with his deathmark make the event a piece of cake ;)

I completed the event using:

Stormtrooper G8
Snowtrooper G8
All with regular mods (5/4 stars but no speed primaries or secondaries)
Following some advices here, I played probably hundreds of battles taking out Han, Luke, Leia and then just dying to the remaining 3 toons.
However, after reading that I should focus R2 first, I did that and at my very first attempt I cleared it.
So yeah, go r2 first, after you kill him the whole team crumbles.
