I have not really geared up any of the Imperial Troopers yet, but I am interested and I want to know what team comps are the best and why? Never really used them before at all so I know very little about their mechanics.
Imp Remnant is to be ignored.
I’d recommend an Iden team (for defence) and a Veers team (for offence).
Iden L, Death Trooper, Shore/Storm, Magma, Snow.

Veers L, Piett, Dark, Gideon, Range. - Grogu_4470Seasoned NoviceOn another post, @StarSon recommended:
Veers Piett Dark Starck Gideon
Iden Storm Range Magna Snow - Gideon lead is okay, but really pales in comparison to the Veers-Lead + Piett TM train or Iden’s Omicron.

Iden likes having Snow, especially at low gear + Iden’s unique Zeta, because the whole team will get TM each time a weaker Iden dies + is revived. But all the other usable IT each bring a lot to an Iden team, so it looks fine to me. Might be worth swapping for Magma though."TheChild_eats_eggs1;c-2347542" wrote:

Why is Imperial Remnant ignored? I thought Gideon had a pretty good lead and they had solid synergy."jawa7778;c-2347554" wrote:

There is nothing in Gideons kit that specifically references the remnant tag and I believe the only kits that reference the tag are dark trooper which gives them advantage and death who attacks twice with his basic if another remnant is present so not really a lot of synergy.- Is this a pretty good team organization then? I left out snow trooper.
- winterwolvesNew ScoutRange trooper really helps ensure the veers turn meter train keeps going.
The key mechanics to know:
Veers gives all a 10% tm bump whenever a trooper gains a buff.
Piett unique gives all the team an emperor's trap(ET) buff whenever a trooper gets a turn or attacks out of turn.
Range gives 50% chance to call an assist on any ability used during turn. So a chance every turn to get extra buffs, plus you might call Piett...
Piett always calls an assist on his basic, plus the toon that has inevitable failure, plus maybe another from range, for at least 30% tm to the whole team on his turn (it's his turn, 10% from ET to all, 2 assists, 20% from ET to all) or 40% of the extra assist happens.
Whenever an enemy dies all troopers get 50% tm. So target a weak enemy early to get them really cranking.
Starck special hands out buffs, so more TM, plus he can remove tm from enemies (zeta though) to keep the tm train alive and the ET stacks building up damage.
So the safest TM train lineup is Veers, Piett, Range, Starck, Dark. Dark is a huge damage dealer and safe place to put inevitable failure due to his stacks giving him extra lives. Although from a tm train perspective it is better to mark Veers, as he also gives out buffs on basic, so there is a little more TM train happening.
Iden can just have the leftovers that are not leaders, doesn't really matter.
I don't really have a place for Gideon myself, except that sometimes deathtrooper wants to hang out with Krennic. In that case I move Starck to Iden and gideon joins the tm team. Gideon works well in the tm team as he (obviously) can remove tm, but then also calls all to assists, restoring heaps of tm to the trooper team, so long as Piett is present.
The other thing to understand in this is how turn order works. All these tm gains can put you above 100%. The priority for who gets the next turn goes:
Bonus turn with highest tm%
Other bonus turn.
Highest tm % (the game tracks how far over 100% each toon is and that determines turn order)
No one gains any normal increments of turn meter if a bonus turn or a toon that was already at or above 100% tm is taking a turn.
So if you trigger some enemy Bonus turn, like Jedi Knight Anakin if an ally goes under 50% health or dies, then he will get his bonus turn immediately, even though your math might say that all your troopers have 180% tm.
That's probably enough of a wall of text.
