Better to have a slower GAS?

Since I’ve got GAS up to relic 7 I can break into top 20 in my shard, I’ve noticed that any team I fight with a faster GAS I can beat.
This is because my GAS will counter attack twice then have his own 2 attacks so seems better to have the slower GAS in my experience. Anyone else notice this?

Background info I’m on a late 2015 shard November/December. Very competitive top 50 all GAS and GL teams

    how are the rest of your clones? if they are good it really doesn't matter in my experience

    It seems like that team is switching away from a speedier, offense heavier gas to a slower more defensive (higher protection) as a more consistent counter. I've been noticing slower gas teams, but a much beefier gas in my shard, definately more of a pain to cause him to kneel that's for sure.

    Forget to mention my GAS only has 267 speed but quite Tanky with 95k health 95k protection with basic damage over 7200, 192% crit damage, 75.52% crit chance. I know just from own shard there are much stronger, faster and harder hitting ones than mine but being slower seems to help

    Fives relic 5, Rex and echo both relic 4, using ahsoka relic 5 until I finish gearing arc trooper

    Honestly the way to beat GAS mirror matches is simply to be the team on offense. As long as everyone on the team is at least reliced then you can pretty much force Fives to sacrifice and it should be a cakewalk no matter what.

    But it isn't necessarily better to be slower, that just usually means the slower GAS has either more offense or more defense and that's what's making the difference.

    tbh I've never used snips with him but you should be able to climb higher I think. GAS just wins on O

    When I ran them in arena I had my Rex fastest in the shard so I always went first. I liked having the CD increase and daze from UP out ASAP. With that said, now that I have moved on to Rey and my Rex is slower, I've still won a couple of mirrors in GAC. On offense it really doesn't matter that much. It's hard to lose as long as the AI doesn't focus Fives.
