Yes, when you get Kenobi, put him in straight away. I don't care if he's gear 8. Just put him in the team.
Your best team is: Padme, Anakin, Ahsoka, GK, GMY.
This will eventually become your arena team, so having GMY in there doesn't matter. As for GAC when yoda is with your jedi, you can easily 3- or 4-man your grand arena battles, and just leave GMY out. But if you need to, put in R2, not Rex.
