Building a new team: focus on one or spread the love?

One at a time to the next gear level, finishing off a gear level makes a huge difference.

If one toon plugs into another squad or synergy if you have also, max that one first and go back for the rest. Example: While gearing clones I put special priority on Rex. Awesome leader and toon, for almost any team.

Also, I think I may be spreading my energy thin and not focusing enough on gear. I'm hanging out around rank 120, so I'm not doing too poorly. I was thinking that by farming shards now, it would make it much easier on me later. I've been farming:

Jedi Knight Anakin
Barriss Offee
Luminari
Boba
Ahsoka
Old Daka
Biggs

Should I drop any of them out? I'm doing Biggs in the shipments as well as cantina right now. He'll be 7* in 3 days. Boba I'm doing with shipments as well and has about a week left to 7*.

Great question, but it depends on what you're looking to accomplish. I always say you have to prioritize your intentions before choosing who to focus on. I recommend the following:

#1 - Scoundrels. The credit heist and training droid events come every 8 days each and they are RIDICULOUSLY useful, I'd say critical to your success. They also open up critical chance mod challenges.

#2 - Rebels. A few of them are also scoundrels, so double dip! They are used in multiple facets of the game, and there are currently 27 to choose from. Some examples of use are the Emperor Palpatine event, one of the omega battles, the Empire battle that just finished but comes around every once in a while, and tenacity mod challenges.

#3 - Empire. One of the best set of mods you can obtain is potency. Only empire squads can do these challenges. There is also an Omega battle for empire...I think?...and a rare battle that allows only empire toons to compete.

I used Rey and Daka in my arena team until the mid-60s and could get into the top 20 with them. But I had to replace them. With Level 60 the fleet store open and many people get a Wedge to their Biggs which can just oneshot Rey. With gearlevel 8 protection is so high that healers are less effective. So don't put too much energy on Rey, Lumi and Daka, although they might serve you well in GW and Rey can improve your raid rankings.

Barriss is not that great in arena (its different in endgame with zeta), but also very good for GW.

Wedge and Biggs are classic and very good in the midgame, you can start farming Wegde in the fleet store. Boba is also great. You should get a tank, either STHan (Arena) or Sun Fac (Fleet). Use your GW tokens on Biggs and ships.

The 60s are a good time to rethink your arena team. Gearing is easy because alot of purple gear will come from new challenge rewards. I changed my complete arena team between rank 60 and 70 without loosing ranks.

Awesome thanks guys. I was planning on running sthan, lando, boba, wedge, and Biggs for arena, but I haven't seen them in the meta lately. So I was hoping to use that as long as possible until I can put together a sith team.

Ahsoka is pretty much just for yoda. Maybe I'll just drop her, daka, and Rey.
