Building a Non-Zeta Jedi Squad

I'm not looking to have this as an arena team but as a Squad that I can run GW's or battles with. I'm having a hard time building a decent Jedi team. Early game they seemed to do a ton of damage but now that I am in late game (and without Zeta so that might change things) I'm finding them rather lacking in damage and in synergy with each other. What has everybody else had luck with?
  • I think that Ima-Gun Di is arguably the best non-zeta Jedi leader, so check out his leader ability "Jedi Strategist" for sure. There's no doubt that Jedi Knight Anakin and Qui-Gon Jinn should be in any Jedi squad, there's simply no argument against this. The last 2 are just based on personal preference. I love a good healer with heal over time, so I'd bring in Luminara, and Aayla Secura's "Superior Reposte" is insanely useful.

Alternatively, if you do decide to unlock a zeta ability, then QGJ becomes your leader.
  • if using mainly for lightside battles, cantina or GW, then I would recommend looking at Barriss ( do not even need her to be Zarriss ) for lead. Do not get me wrong, I love IGD lead, and there are some places in GW I still use him, but the over all long term surviability of the team, Barriss is going to get you a lot farther along.
I have a number of teams for GW, two of them include pretty much solid Jedi. Barriss L, QGJ, JKA, Ahsoka, Aayla is very solid. May take a bit longer to kill off the other team, but Barriss as lead will keep you topped off in HP from round to round, and that is with out using her heal ^^
  • What are your thoughts on Yoda as leader? I have almost all the Jedi Unlocked but Eeth Koth, Kit Fisto, Ima-Gun Di, Jedi Knight Anakin, General Kenobi.
  • negitve on Yoda lead. IGD and JKA should be two you focus on picking up if you plan to go this route, and get them to 7*
  • JKA (L), QGJ, Ahsoka, Yoda, Ezra. Ahsoka is pretty solid along with JKA. She's protected from crits, hit hard and can heal the whole team. Ezra can call assist and remove enemies buff. He's also a good attacker.

IGD (L), QGJ, JKA, Aayla, Kanan. Aayla and Kanan both have a percentage of chance to counter. Added them with IGD's lead ability and they will counter everytime. I sometimes use Kanan in GW and he's really fun. He can cleanse, and give back protection. And he's a good tank who can heal himself when debuffed.

First team to be more offensive and second to have a better defense. But in both cases, it's hard to stay in the top 100 with non-zeta Jedis or without GK lead.
  • I used IGD in arena for months prior to zetas being released and stayed top 10. IGD + Aayla are a great combo with her having 100% counter chance. Throw in jka, GK, ahsoka or yoda and you'll clear some nodes.

Speaking of GK I've had tremendous success with his lead and Jedi consular, lumi, ahsoka, and 5s. You just keep spamming those heals and get an all-in hit from the team each time. I have beaten many chaze and zDM teams this way, or at least crippled them to the point I can walk my next team through.

    Try it, it works.

Edit: I did omega JCs basic = shorter heal cooldown.

So Kanan and Erza are viable at 3 star?

Enough for a non-zeta Jedi team, because you won't reach top 50 using them. At least you will need a zeta for that. Also Kanan and Ezra should be soon farmable, so gearing them now is not a waste of resources.
